JEE Main is a widely popular Joint Entrance Exam which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India for numerous aspirants seeking for admission in B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch / B.Plan courses from well recognized UG engineering institutes of India like CFTIs, IITs, NITs, etc.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, significant changes have been made to the Exam Pattern of the JEE 2021 Main exam. The syllabus of JEE 2021 Mains has also been thoroughly revised and reduced to an extent. The JEE 2021 Main exam will be held four times a year (February, March, April, and May) according to the information provided by the Union Education Minister of India. JEE 2021 Notification

National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently released a notification to apply online for the JEE Main 2021 exam. JEE 2021 Mains exam will be directed in 13 languages and the application form is available online only, at the Official Website ““. The interested and eligible aspirants can enroll and pay the exam fee for any phase of JEE 2021 Main at a time and the application window will re-open after the end of each phase. Applying for various phases will be a favorable position for students so they can improve their percentile in the JEE 2021 Main.

As the CBSE board tests won’t happen in February, interested aspirants can utilize the chance of sitting for the Phase 1 JEE 2021 Main exam. NTA (National Testing Agency) has even advised that the JEE 2021 Mains Merit rundown will be based on the percentile scores. Apart from that, an undertaking is a must if the candidates don’t submit his/her category certificate (EWS/ SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL) while filling the form.

JEE 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Aspirants must have passed their XII or equivalent exam in 2019, 2020, or will be appearing in 2021 are eligible to sit for JEE 2021 Main exam. Those candidates who have passed their XII in 2018 or before and those appearing in the 2022 exam or later are not eligible to appear for JEE 2021 Main.

Also, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided to provide another chance to students who were not able to appear in JEE 2020 Advanced due to the Covid-19 pandemic. There is no need for such students to re-qualify by writing JEE 2021 Main exam and will be allowed to directly sit in the JEE 2021 Advanced exam.

B.E/B.Tech Applicants: Must have passed in the 12th level with at least five subjects; Physics & Mathematics is mandatory along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or any other technical vocational as optional subjects.

B.Arch Applicants: Candidate must have passed intermediate level with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

B.Plan Applicants: Candidate must have passed the 12th level with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

Diploma Holding Applicants: Diploma holding candidates are also eligible to apply. However, they are only eligible for admissions to IIT Institutes.

Nationality Wise

Indian Citizen: Both Indian and Foreign aspirants are eligible to apply.

Foreign Citizen: Candidates from other countries are required to obtain the required marks or percentage from any AIU recognized board to become eligible to apply for JEE 2021 Mains.

JEE 2021 Age Limit and Attempt Limit

Age Limit: There is no upper age limit prescribed to appear in JEE 2021 Main exam.

Attempt Limit: Interested aspirants can consecutively appear in the exam for a maximum of 3 years. They can sit for all four sessions (February, March, April, and May ), which will be counted as a single attempt.

JEE 2021 Exam Pattern

Marking Pattern: 4 marks will be given for every correct answer and 1 mark will get deducted for every incorrect response.

Language Medium: Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Assamese, Odia, Urdu, Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi, Gujarati, English, and Hindi.

Time Duration: 3 hours, PWD Candidate With 40% Disability will be provided with 1 hour extra for completing the paper.

Questions Type: Objective Type, Numericals, Drawing test in JEE 2021 Main Paper 2 will be of Subjective type.

Examination Mode: Online CBT mode. The drawing test of JEE 2021 Main Paper II (B.Arch) will be taken in Pen and paper mode.

JEE Main Paper I (B.E/ B.Tech): 90 Questions (Physics – 30, Chemistry – 30, Mathematics – 30)

JEE Main Paper II (B.Arch): 82 Questions (Aptitude Test – 50, Drawing Test – 2, Mathematics – 20)

JEE Main Paper III (B.Plan): 105 Questions (Aptitude Test – 50, Planning Based Questions Part II – 25, Mathematics – 20)

Important Note:- Students will have to attempt any 5 questions out of 10 in section B, there is no negative marking for section B questions.

  • Select the Language of Question Paper.

  • After Completing the Application Process, Just Print the Application Form and Fee Payment Proof for any Further Instances.

Once the JEE 2021 Main Application Form is Successfully Submitted, Candidates Will Receive an SMS/ Mail on Their Registered Mobile Number or Mail Id Regarding Successful Submission of Form After Completing the Application Process.
